Spring is right around the corner in Ontario, which means you may be looking for something fun to do with your family this Easter. The long weekend falls between March 29th to March 31st, so you have a few weeks to decide what to do. We’ve researched for you to take the guesswork out of fun activities the entire family can enjoy. Now, let’s hop to it!

1. Participate in an Easter egg hunt
One of the quintessential Easter activities to participate in is an egg hunt! There are many happening all over Ontario, such as the one at Brooks Farms in Uxbridge. From March 23rd to April 1st, visit Brooks Farms to enjoy an egg hunt, an Easter Bunny meet-and-greet, live performances and more. Remember to bring your basket for the egg hunt. Tickets will be on sale soon! There are going to be many egg hunts across the province, so make sure to do some research beforehand and see what’s hoppin-ing near you!

2. Paint Easter eggs
If you’d like to stay home and partake in some Easter activities, why not enjoy painting some Easter Eggs? This bunny-themed activity is a classic one that never gets old and will keep the kids busy for a while. Pick out your favourite paint colours and decorations and have the family flex their artistic skills. For something a little less delicate, we like this Squishy Egg Painting Kit as an alternative.
3. Visit Easterfest in Caledon
If you are in the Caledon area, stop by Easterfest from April 1st to April 9th. Located at Downey’s Farm Market, this fun event will include face painting, wagon rides, crafts, live entertainment and more! Entry is $18 for ages two and up, and will certainly be fun for the whole family. Tickets go on sale soon!

4. Enjoy a craft sale
If you’re looking for something to do with older kids this Easter, visit the many craft shows across the province. Many of them will feature lots of local vendors selling Easter and spring-themed crafts. Check out what dates they are happening, and what admission costs are (if any). Come out and support local artists to celebrate Easter and the beginning of spring!
5. Experience the Beaches Easter Parade
The Toronto Beaches Lions Easter Parade is back on March 31st at 2:00 pm! This fun and festive parade will take place down Queen Street East in Toronto. Kids can even participate in a scavenger hunt in the Beaches neighbourhood on March 29th. This event is for all ages and attending the parade is free, with a $20 fee for the scavenger hunt per team/family. Learn more about the Beaches Easter Parade on their website here.

6. Enjoy Easter at the Farm
Take a trip out to The Log Farm in Ottawa for some family fun! This event will include an Easter egg hunt, a petting zoo, and arts and crafts. Admission is $10 and it is for all ages. Easter at the Farm runs from March 29th to April 1st!

7. Bake delicious treats
If you’re hosting or plan to stay in during the long weekend, nothing says Easter like tasty treats. Whether you want to try that Easter bread recipe you’ve saved on Pinterest or bake some delicious Mini Eggs cookies, baking is an activity the entire family can enjoy. Have the little ones help with mixing the ingredients and decorate the finished product with colourful icing. Yum!
